Faith Brown with John Peel
Peel appeared in an episode broadcast on 22nd January 1984, where he was interviewed along with actress Faith Brown by Brian Hayes. They reviewed the video, Ready Steady Go, Volume One, a compilation of the 60's music show, which Peel mentioned not seeing in the 60's as he was living in America during the time the programme was originally broadcast.
He was asked about the Design Centre in Haymarket, where he brought in the studio, a teapot toy for his daughter Alexandra and a bicycle, obtained from the centre. Peel was also asked what he would like to do in London, which he replied that he would like to see bands with amusing names (he gave examples of bands such as Patrick Moore And The All Stars and Eric Goes Fishing).
On his 30 October 1985 show, Peel mentioned doing a TV programme called Sunday Sunday presented by Gloria Hunniford a month ago, where he was with Samantha Fox and said that she was a nice person. He mentioned that she told him that she was in a 'band' called S.F.X., and admitted on the show that he got the record in his collection, although he wasn't unable to find it to play on the programme.
