Gang Starr - wondering if this is the 12" version, and John maybe said something like "taken from the album"? The album version is 2'39" while the 12" is 3'02" and the two tapes that have it are around the 3 minute mark.

I remember on the audio, Peel mentioned that the track is from an imported LP.

I wonder if the timings are wrong on the LP, it would seem strange to play the single version twice then play an album version! So the previous play must also be from the album. I take it you are getting to know the librarians well?
