Thought this might be a good one to have up, not only as Scotland was a big place for Peel session artists and there isn't a problem defining the border - but also think it would be good to have a page on Scotland at some stage, so this one would fit with that. I'm sure there are loads I've forgotten or missed so please jump in and add any that aren't there.

Just wondering if Rod Stewart counts as a Scottish artist. My own feeling is he doesn't - despite his well-advertised love of the Scottish national football team and cover of "Sailing" by the Sutherland Brothers. There are family connections (his dad was Scottish), but he was born and raised in London. Appears he's with me on this:

Guess it's a moot point here, as Rod S didn't have any solo sessions, but also wondered if the definition of Scotland sessions stretches to bands with one of two Scottish members (or ones with Scottish family backgrounds). I'd say definitely not - a stretch too far.
