- A cassette compilation from the collection of Peel Group member mr_maudlin, recorded from the BBC Radio 1 John Peel show but with no DJ links - just a couple of "Peelers" at the end of each side. The shows were originally recorded on Hi-Fi VHS from a good FM signal then edited to cassette.
- Peelers were just me using up the blank spaces at the end of tapes with amusing asides from John. They tended not to be from the same shows as the records on that tape because I didn't want to put them in-between tracks (I think I thought they might become annoying with repetition), so I would go back to the most recent completed tape and add them to the end of the spool. I was definitely one of those people who had a system for recording (separate tapes for sessions and records, themed tapes by music style, always leaving a gap between songs so the tape search facility would work etc) and stuck to it.
- Records bought at the time: Half Man Half Biscuit, Cornershop, Bluetones, Philistines Jr.
