The Sunday Request Show was BBC Radio 1 show broadcast on Sunday afternoons from 3.00 until 5.00 pm, beginning in January 1980. Replacing Annie Nightingale's Request Show, which had run in the same time slot until the end of 1979, the new request show was hosted by three different Radio 1 DJs, namely Stuart Colman, Paul Gambaccini and John Peel, working on a rota system. This format ran for a total of fourteen shows until early April eventually replaced by the Star Special shows, which up to then had been broadcast at 7.00 pm on Sundays.
