Changes to the look of John Peel Wiki will take place in the near future due to a new skin being rolled out over Oct/Nov across Wikia. Please see the Wikia Staff Blog for further details. On this site, the changes will affect the navigation from the left menu, as well as introduce a fixed page width with narrower content space. Please be patient while adjustments are made for the switch to the new system.

UPDATE: As the change is now in force for some users, I have switched the navigation to the simplified one for the new system. Please check Navigation in the Help section if you can't find things. I also initially made small adjustments to the front page layout, but have now reverted to the old look until all users are on the new system.

Them

Themselves, previously known as Them, is an American hip hop duo based in Oakland, California. It consists of Doseone and Jel. They are also part of Subtle and 13 & God. The duo's first studio album, Them, was included on Fact's "100 Best Indie Hip-Hop Records of All Time" list.

Doseone and Jel met through Mr. Dibbs and formed Themselves. Then known as Them, the duo's first studio album, Them, was released in 2000. In 2002, Themselves released the second studio album, The No Music. A remix album, The No Music of AIFFs, was released in 2003. In 2009, Themselves released a mixtape, The Free Houdini, as well as the third studio album, Crowns Down. Another remix album, Crowns Down & Company, was released in 2010.

Peel played their track, 'It's Them', on his 11 August 1999 radio programme, when they were known as Them. He also played further material from the group, including a session they recorded for his show in 2002 as the name, Themselves. He nominated their album, 'The No Music', as one of his records of the month for October 2002 (Peel's Record Box).
