This Poison! were a Scottish indie rock band formed in 1985 from the ashes of Choreography and The Wolf Attack. The group consisted of Scott "Saigz" Taylor on vocals and guitar, Derek Moir on guitar and backing vocals, Alistair "Lites" Donald on bass and Steve Gray on drums. Hailed from Perth in Scotland, the band split in 1988. Saigz now lives in Calgary, Canada while both Derek and Lites live in London. Steve now lives in Edinburgh.

Peel first played This Poison in February 1987, with airtime for their 'Engine Failure' single on the Reception label of Wedding Present, and a second 45 by the group turned up on his radio programmes later in the same year. Impressed by their material, he invited the group to do a session for his show in November 1987, when they performed four tracks.
