Peel discovered the band in 1990 and invited them to do a session for his show, which was first broadcast in January 1991. The band did not release any records at that time and also Peel never played any material from their 1994 release, Apron, on his radio programmes. Nonetheless he did see the group perform at DeMontfort University in Leicester in November 1992.
