
Van Basten was a British progressive/acid trance group consisting of Gary Everatt, Gary Webster and Martin Reilly, who were all from Milton Keynes. The group named themselves after the Dutch footballer, Marco Van Basten, and released only one album and several singles in the mid-90's, before disbanding and members going their own ways.

Peel played many tracks from Van Basten, when they were releasing singles and an album during the mid-90's. He also invited them to do several sessions for his show, which they did. Listeners of Peel's shows also voted their track King Of The Death Posture into the 1995 Festive Fifty.
