
Wenche Synnøve Myhre (born 15 February 1947, in Kjelsås, Oslo), in some countries known as Wencke Myhre, is a Norwegian singer and actress who has had a great number of hit songs since the 1960s in the Norwegian, Danish, German as well as the Swedish markets and languages. Several times during the late 1970s and early 1980s, JP played the Myhre track 'Du kommst jetzt mit nach Hause John Peel' ("You're coming home now, John Peel"), a German-language song based on 'Lucille', the Kenny Rogers hit, from her LP Album (Ariola, 1978). The song was also known as (and contained the repeated phrase) “John Peel”.
